Drug Suspect Who Was Thought Shot Dead Suddenly Move And Sat Up And Ask For Assistance


In a police buy-bust operation in Manila's Malate district early Tuesday morning, an alleged drug dealer identified only as Alias Greggy was shot to death and a companion suspect identified as Alias JayR was wounded.

According to the Malate Police Station's Supt. Romeo Odrada, the two suspects were on a tricycle when an undercover police officer attempted to purchase P500 worth of methamphetamines or shabu from them.


The suspects who were both on a drug-watch list had realized that they are dealing with a police officer and they attempted to race away on their tricycle. It was at this point that the suspects alleged tried to shoot it out with the police.


Greggy and JayR thought to have been shot dead, but JayR suddenly  move and sat up. He asked for help and said that they have been shot by two men on a motorcycle. 

JayR was taken to the Ospital ng Maynila where he was being treated for gun-shot wounds.



Police officers had checked on Greggy and JayR and thought them dead, according to Supt. Odrada. He added that they could not move the bodies as the Scene of the Crimes Operatives had not yet collected evidence.


Among those recovered from the two suspects were three packets of shabu and two pistol, a .38 caliber and a .22 magnum.
