A 38-year old single father of three named Daniel Evans works as a pool-cleaner and did whatever he could to pay the bills for his family.
The pool-cleaner arrives at the auditions for X Factor with his mother and 11-month old daughter named Ana Maria, explaining that he has arrived on the wishes of his late wife.
The judges were about to discover Daniel’s powerful reason for auditioning. Tragically, his wife passed away after giving birth to their third child.
"I obviously learnt some hard lessons and realised life is too short so now I decided this year to go for it so at least I can say I tried."
For his audition, Daniel chose to sing a classic love song "Sometimes When We Touched" which was released in 1977 by singer Dan Hill.
Daniel's performance of the song had made all of the judges, including Simon, are emotional -- bringing Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue to tears.
As Daniel sings his heart out, Cheryl Cole watches through her tears.
“I can sere why your wife wanted you to audition,” she tells him. “I think she would be very proud.”
