Lea Salonga, the Voice Kids coach had issued a statement regarding the arrest of his half-brother Philip Salonga. Philip was arrested in a bar in Pasig City during the buy-bust operation together with two others where 80 pcs of party drugs and 3 plastic of dried marijuana amounting to P120,000 were confiscated to them.
An ABS-CBN entertainment reporter on his Twitter account, shared Lea's official statement regarding the said arrest of her half-brother:
“Philip is my half-brother (same father, but we have different mothers.)
“In light of this recent arrest as reported in the news today, allow me to say that our family will not in any way hamper the investigation of the police in this matter.
“As with all individuals arrested under similar charges, we call only for due process and a fair trial.
“If he is absolutely guilty of all the charges against him, he needs to take responsibility for for his actions.”
