Super typhoon Yolanda destroyed a huge portion of Visayas in the Philippines three years ago. But President Duterte was shocked to find out that a small percentage of the houses promised for the victims had actually been built, but many are unoccupied because there are no basic utilities available for use.

President Duterte issued a directive to both Housing czar Vice President Leni Robredo and Presidential Assistant for the Visayas Michael Dino to finish the project before December.

Eighteen days after President Duterte issued his directive, the first batch of Yolanda victims in Tacloban City visited their homes for the first time. They have with them cleaning materials and began preparing their homes for the scheduled transfer.
Dino and his team made sure that all the necessities needed in the community particularly water and electricity were already provided to each dwellers.

But Dino is not only focussing in Tacloban. In fact, he has been making rounds in the Yolanda affected areas to check on the status of the other housing projects being made there. Areas visited by Dino were Daan Bantayan, Bantayan island some municipalities.
