PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) presents 15 actresses in 2015 who became pregnant whose personal circumstances caused major changes in the storyline of teleseryes.
Here's what happened to their characters when they became expectant moms.
KYLIE PADILLA
*On the last week of January 2017, Encantadia was airing plugs that a major character will die in the telefantasya when rumors started coming out that KYLIE PADILLA was pregnant. It was even reported that her tummy-baring costume had to be adjusted because of her condition. On January 23, PEP broke the news that Kylie was already pregnant three months.
On January 27 (Friday), her character Amihan was killed in the series. However, the following Monday, Amihan resurfaced in the telefantasya wearing a new costume that covered her tummy.
BEAUTY GONZALES
*She became the subject of pregnancy rumors in September 2015. At that time, Beauty was part of Ningning, a top-rating daytime show. Rumors also that her character would be killed off in the ABS-CBN series.
In the next episode, her character died after a fall down the stairs. Months later, Beauty posted her photo in Instagram showing her baby bump. Only then did she reveal that she was five months pregnant.
TONI GONZAGA
*PEP first reported that she was pregnent in 2016. People were expecting her to star in the teleserye 'Written In Our Hearts' with Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby.
Because of Toni's pregnancy, the show was postponed. Toni finally went back to work this January after giving birth in September 2016.
ANGELIKA DELA CRUZ
*She got pregnant with her second baby on April 2015. Her series 'Healing Hearts' was scheduled to air in that year. The production team did not have any problems with her villain character. Angelika quipped about her condition, “Mataba lang ako sa show.” Angelika was able to finish Healing Hearts which ended on September 2015.
MARIAN RIVERA
*She was supposed to topbill the LGBT-themed drama series 'The Rich Man's Daughter' in 2015. But she and husband Dingdong confirmed her pregnancy. Marian said she's willing to finish the project but later she decided to withdraw the project due to her "delicate condition."

EMPRESS SCHUCK
*She surprised everyone when she confirmed her pregnancy in April 2015. She was still doing the afternoon show 'Kailan Ba Tama Ang Mali.' Because of her condition, her character in the series was made pregnant.
JUDY ANN SANTOS
*On March 2015, ABS-CBN announced that she would work on the TV series 'Someone To Watch Over Me.' However, two months later, Judy Ann was reported pregnant. In response, ABS-CBN's TV drama unit, Dreamscape Entertainment, released a statement saying it will not replace Judy Ann in the show. Instead, it will wait for her until she gives birth. A year later, Juday sadly confirmed that the series was already shelved.
JOLINA MAGDANGAL
*In 2013, she was doing the TV series 'Mundo Mo'y Akin' when she found out she was pregnant. She was advised by doctors to take a complete bed rest that's why Jolina left the show. Before the end of the series, Jolina returned to the show and stayed until its finale.
SARAH LAHBATI
*She had walked out of the set of Indio and refused to do flying scenes that required her to wear a harness. Upon leaving the country, rumors spread that Sarah was pregnant, and boyfriend Richard Gutierrez was the father of her child. In August 2013, PEP got a feed from an insider that Sarah had already given birth in April that year.
ANDI EIGENMANN
*In 2011, she was rumored to be pregnant. But her mom veteran actress Jacklyn Jose confirmed this on TV Patrol. At that time, Andi was busy doing the TV series Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin. In the last three weeks of the show, Andi's character was killed off. At the time, Andi was already five months pregnant. She gave birth in November.

REGINE VELASQUEZ
*She was in the middle of her teleserye, I Heart U Pare, when reports appeared that she was pregnant with her first child with Ogie Alcasid.
In April 2011, without confirming her pregnancy, Regine announced on Party Pilipinas that Iza Calzado would be taking over her role as the drag queen Tonette.
Regine also said that she was advised by her doctor to take a rest after she began suffering "severe migraine attacks." Later, it was revealed that she was pregnant.
DENISE LAUREL
* She was a key player in the late night drama series Precious Hearts Romances presents Kristine in 2010. Denise's character Emerald Fortalejo flew to the United States but promised to return. However, Denise did not return to the series until its finale. In 2011, Denise returned to television via Maalaala Mo Kaya. She revealed on The Buzz that she had given birth to a baby boy.
JENNYLYN MERCADO
*She shocked everyone in December 2007 when she revealed that she was six months pregnant with her child with boyfriend Patrick Garcia. Because of her delicate condition, GMA replaced Jennylyn and Patrick with Nadine Samonte and Polo Ravales.
In the last two weeks of La Vendetta, Jennylyn's exposure as the ghost was decreased. Jean Garcia's character was killed off, and she became the new ghost in the series.
JODI STA. MARIA
*She was playing the main villain Veronica in the fantasy series Kampanerang Kuba, starring Anne Curtis. But months later, Jodi announced that she was pregnant with her first child by then husband Pampi Lacson.
Since her condition was delicate at the time, ABS-CBN replaced her with Desiree del Valle.
In line with the fantasy theme of the series, Jodi's Veronica character used magic to transform her face into Desiree's.
ANGELU DE LEON
*News broke that she was pregnant with a love child by action star Joko Diaz.
Because of her pregnancy, Angelu had to leave the top-rating show Growing Up. For her last episode, Angelu's character Peachy was set to get married with Wacks (Bobby). But on the day of the wedding, she did not show up.
