Woman Fears She Might Have Contracted HIV After A Girl 'Pricked' Her In The Back Along Cubao

Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is a chronic, potentially life-threatening condition caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). By damaging your immune system, HIV interferes  with your bod's ability to fight the organisms that cause disease. HIV is sexually transmitted infection.

HIV is spread mainly by having sex or sharing injection drug equipment such as needles with someone who has HIV. Only certain fluids—blood, semen, pre-seminal fluid, rectal fluids, vaginal fluids, and breast milk—from an HIV-infected person can transmit HIV.  Contact between broken skin, wounds, or mucous membranes can also transmit the disease.

A woman named Enya de Jesus, a Facebook user is now fearing she might have contracted the disease. One morning, as Enya was waiting for the pedestrian's green light along Cubao, she felt a 'prick' on her back that startled her. Enya shouted in pain: “Aray! Anoyun!!! Ano yun!!! (Ouch! What was that?),”

As Enya looked back, she saw a woman slowly walking away. She knows that the girl was the one who pricked her but didn't run after that girl because she might have something else with her.

The incident was reported to the police and is now under investigation. Enya has to go through a series of tests before she could be sure she is safe from any deadly disease.
