A 68-year old grandfather was arrested by the police authorities after raping an 8-year old neighbor in Barangay Lagao, General Santos City.
Osias Comighod was detained at Police Station 3 after he was complained by the parents of the victim. The mother was so angry and couldn't expect that the suspect will do it to her daughter. But, according to the suspect, they are in a relationship and the victim also wanted what he did in exchange of money. The suspect added he was in the right mind when he did the crime.
According to the investigation of the authorities, the crime happened at the house of the victim. They reminded the parents to watch their children to avoid this kind of incident.
Comighod are now facing rape charges through sexual assault.
