The suspects on the brutal killing of an Adamson Architecture student named Nick Russel Oniot, who was robbed and stabbed 18 times in Taguig City have been caught.
With the help of the CCTV video, the 2 suspects Ricardo Clave, 29 and Marvin Bernardo, 36 were arrested in a follow-up operation.
On Facebook, Adamson University@80years announced that the two suspects are now under police custody.
“UPDATE: Nahuli na din yung isang suspect na pumatay kay Nick Oniot [The other suspect on the killing of Nick Oniot was caught],” the page stated; hours after announcing that one of the two suspects was already caught. The other suspect was killed by the police after he grab the firearm of the police while inside the police mobile going to the police station.
What happened to the Architecture student went viral after a Facebook user posted a set of photos with a caption how Nick Russel Oniot was brutally killed in Taguig City.
"Guys, please be aware that bad guys are roaming around here in Cetral Signal. Let’s be cautious. There is a student from Adamson University who was robbed and brutally stabbed 18 times by two suspects at Martinez St. Barangay Central Signal Village, Taguig, October 14, 2016, 10 p.m.],” Facebook user N. Bueno posted.
Social media users were saddened and angered by the news. They changed their profile pictures on Facebook to a black photo with text #JusticeForNick.
