This Nurse In Pagadian City Accidentally Cut Two Of A Newborn's Toes. Find Out Here How It Happens

A nurse in Pagadian City identified as Riza Dominsac is now in hot water after she accidentally cut two of a newborn's toes with scissors while changing its bandage at the Hofilena Hospital in Pagadian City where the nurse worked.

However, she mistakenly included two of the baby's toes without knowing, according to a report which was first aired on GMA Network's 24 Oras news program.

The newborn baby was immediately rushed to the operating room. Unfortunately, only one of the toes was attached back to the baby's foot.

According to the infant's father, Charles del Mar, he went to the Pagadian City police's women and children's desk and reported that Dominsac took their daughter for a bath around 6 a.m. Wednesday. But after about three hours, the baby was not returned to them.

They later found out that the nurse had cut two of the infant’s left toes. A physician had told the Del Mar it was accidental.

Insp. Lerma Boron, chief of the Pagadian City police’s WCD, said the hospital was uncooperative but they were able to locate and arrest Dominsac.

Dominsac is currently detained at the Pagadian City police office pending a court order for her transfer to another facility.
