A beauty pageant is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the physical attributes of the contestants, although some contests have evolve to also incorporate personality traits, intelligence, talent and answers to judges' questions as judged criteria.
There are Miss Universe 1994 beauties who became remarkable to Filipinos because of being beautiful and having intelligence in answering the judges' questions.
Here are they now, what they look like now after Philippines hosted the prestigious pageant 22 years ago.
1. Dayanara Torres
*She's a Puerto Rican beauty queen who landed several movie and TV roles in the Philippines where she stayed for five years after the pageant. She married singer Marc Anthony in Las Vegas but they separated after 2 years. But before 2002 ended, they reconciled and renewed their vows. In 2004, the couple put an end to their marriage. Marc married Jennifer Lopez, his third wife. Dayanara is a mother of two boys. Her last movie project was 200 Cartas in 2013 where she played Yolanda.
2. Michelle Van Eimeren
*She is an Australian beauty queen who is now busy managing her floral design studio. She is a loving wife to her husband Mark Murrow and a cool mom to her two lovely daughters with singer Ogie Alcasid.

3. Sushmita Sen
*She's the first Indian to bring home the Miss Universe crown. She defied the conventions in her country when she adopted a girl named Renee. But the Court of Bombay sided with her. She adopted another baby in 2010. She remains active in India's entertainment scene.
4. Christelle Roelandts
*She's a happy mom to her two lovely kids. She resides in Waramme, Belgium according to her Facebook account.

5. Charlene Gonzales
*She's a Filipina beauty who won the Most Beautiful Hair, Best in National Costume, and placing a spot in the Top 6 of Miss Universe 1994. She became an actress and famous for her dancing and hosting skills. She married Aga Muhlach in 2001 and is now a proud mom to 14-year old twins.
6. Minorka Mercado
*Miss Venezuela and Miss Universe 1994 second runner-up is now based in Philadelphia with her husband Peangelo Miranda and daughter.

7. Carolina Gomez
*She's a Columbian-American star who ventured into modeling after her first runner-up finish in Miss Universe 1994. She also became an actress and currently a part of a Corazon Abierto, the Colombian adaptation of Grey's Anatomy.
8. Viveka Babajee
*She's Miss Mauritius 1994 who became famous for her involvement in the Metro Manila Film Festival scam and for the line "take it, take it." She flew to India where she resumed her modeling career and worked as anchor. She died in June 2010. Her body was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her home, following a setback from her business venture and a breakup with her boyfriend.

9. Brenda Robles
*She's the former Miss Puerto Rico who made headlines in 2004 when she was caught shoplifting at Universal''s Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida. Back then, she was a co-host in Puerto Rican Univision TV's Que Suerte! variety show.
10. Areeya Chumsai
*She's Miss Thailand 1994 who is now a teacher, journalist, and a film director-producer. She released a book titled Bootcamp. She co-directed the film Innocence in 2005, which tackled the lives of the hill-tribe children in northern Thailand.
