Karim Metwaly, a 29-year old Muslim New Yorker found YouTube notoriety with this public pranks and social experiments around New York City. He is deemed successful and a minor celebrity within the vlogging sphere with over 2 million subscribers, and roughly 250,000 followers on a second channel.
His video of "American vs Muslim Bag Experiment" is about an American girl and a Muslim girl who was in a park looking for somebody to watch their bag .
The American girl who was wearing shorts approached people sitting in a park bench. At first she asked somebody to watch her bag because it is heavy and will pick up her dog and many other reasons. All of the people she approached said yes and had watched her bag.
But when the Muslim girl who was dressed in all black approached people also sitting in a park bench, she was not able to leave her bag to them because all those people say no saying the man will leave now, other says he's not feeling well and worst a man said he will not trust the Muslim girl because of the way she dressed like a terrorist.
It goes to shows that people judge the Muslim girl because of the way she dressed. People treat Muslims differently.
This video got almost 3 million views on YouTube and got 90 thousand likes.
