Yasmien Kurdi Welcomes Second Daughter via Caesarean Section

Yasmien Kurdi, the beloved Kapuso actress, and her husband Rey Soldevilla are celebrating the arrival of their second child.

In an Instagram post dated April 29, 2024, Kurdi shared the news of their new addition, revealing that she gave birth to their second baby girl via Cesarean section on April 28.

Initially hoping for a natural delivery, Kurdi's plans took a turn after discovering the thinness of her Cesarean scar, posing potential risks for a vaginal birth after Cesarean (VBAC). She wrote, "After a series of tests, we found out that my Cesarean section scar is still thin even after 11 years - not a good indication."

Opting for a Cesarean birth due to the identified high-risk scenarios, Kurdi and Soldevilla later learned during the procedure that their baby had a cord coil, reinforcing the decision to proceed with the Cesarean section. Kurdi emphasized the life-saving aspect of Cesarean deliveries for women facing similar circumstances, expressing gratitude to her doctors and medical team for ensuring the safety of both her and her baby.

The couple, who exchanged vows in January 2012, welcomed their first child, Ayesha Zara Soldevilla, on November 23, 2012.

As they embark on this new journey of parenthood once again, congratulations pour in for Kurdi and Soldevilla as they embrace the joys of raising their growing family.
