This Is What Maris Racal Has to Say After Confirming Breakup with Rico Blanco

Kapamilya actress Maris Racal has officially confirmed that she and singer-composer Rico Blanco have parted ways. The revelation came during the Star Magic Spotlight event, where Racal opened up about the end of their relationship.

"I'm so scared, I'm really scared," Racal emotionally shared with the press. "Ang dami kasing tanong about him and I am tired of smiling and nodding."

According to Racal, the breakup occurred a few weeks ago, marking what she described as "the loneliest, emptiest weeks I've ever experienced in my life." Reflecting on their five-year relationship, she fondly remembered their universe as "beautiful," filled with love, laughter, and music.

"Rico and I, our universe was so beautiful. It was full of love, laughter, music, everything," Racal recalled. "For five years together, we were always on the same page. Always on the same page. But I don’t know what happened to me. Maybe I turned to the next page and saw a new perspective on life."

Racal admitted that she is currently going through personal changes and expressed that communicating these changes to Blanco was difficult but necessary.

"He took it like a man. It was a very difficult talk because I love him so much," she confessed. "But I have so many questions about my life and how I will move forward without him."

The actress emphasized that despite the breakup, she holds respect for Blanco, describing their separation as "very polite." The couple had publicly announced their relationship in 2021, after reportedly dating for two years.
