Mahashta Murasi, a retired cobbler from northern India claims he was born at home in January 6, 1835 in the city of Bangalore. He was not only the oldest man in Indian history but the oldest to have ever lived, according to Guiness World Records. He is recorded to have lived in Varanasi since 1903.
Murasi worked as a cobbler in the city until 1957 when he retired at the age of 122. He has lived so long, that his great grandchildren have been dead for years. Somehow death has forgotten him and guess he's immortal or something, he said.
His birth certificate and identify cards all seem to confirm his version, but no medical examination can confirm his saying for now. The last doctor he visited died in 1971, so there is little accessible information about his previous medical files.
