Another ‘win’ Filipinos can be proud of!
The Philippines once again proved that our country is a melting pot of intelligent and world class beauties. Filipino women are undeniably beautiful, proven by pageants the Philippines have won in the past. Now, another accomplishment by a Filipina will surely make many Filipinos around the world proud of their heritage. Trixia Maria Marana from the Philippines crowned as new Miss Asia 2016. The Philippines is very proud about Marana’s achievement for successfully winning the pageant while representing her country.
Maraña competed against 17 contestants from the Asian and Eurasian region beauties, from Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Tibet, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Russia, Nepal, Myanmar, Moldova, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Iran, India, Bhutan, Belarus, Bangladesh, and Azerbaijan.
Aside from the title and the crown, Maraña also received a cash prize from the pageant’s sponsors.
The newly crown Miss Asia 2016, won a lot of pageant titles back in the Philippines as early as 2009. In 2009, she was crowned as Miss Dumaguete City, then won 1st runner-up on Miss Tourism-Philippines in the 2010 competition.
By 2011, Maraña was crowned as Abuyog Queen of Leyte, then she decided to join Mutya ng Pilipinas and became a finalist in 2014.
Marana is also the 1st Runner-up of Sinulog Queen de Kabankalan and won Miss Negros-Oriental in 2015.
