An amazing footage has emerged of a GoPro attached to a helium weather balloon entering the stratosphere.
The balloon drifted 120 kilometres east of where the filmer launched it during the mission.
The said video was filmed over Germany and shows the three-hour flight compressed into a ten-minute clip, including stunning images of the Earth's upper atmosphere.
To capture the amazing pictures, Julian Wessel, an astrophotographer, had to use a "box made of styrofoam attached to the balloon.
"In this box was a power supply for the camera, a GPS tracker and a hand warmer, which will keep the instruments warm at that altitude," he wrote online.
