Muslims in Lanao del Sur held a rally in Marawi City last Thursday, September 22 to condemn Senator De Lima, Senator Trillanes and Edgar Matobato, a self-confessed hired killer who linked then city mayor Rodrigo Duterte to the Davao Death Squad at the Senate investigation on the alleged extra-judicial killings.
The Muslims burned the images of the two lawmakers and the witness during their rally to express their anger.
A video of the street protest was uploaded by the Facebook page of the local radio program Target On Air. In it, a group composed mostly of Maranaos are seen setting on fire tarpaulins with photos of De Lima, Trillanes and Matobato.
According to the caption of the video, the Muslim leaders and their members said they hate the three for trying to destroy the country's image abroad.
Also, the Maranao group showed their supports to President Duterte's anti-drugs campaign.
The video amassed over 600,000 views after it became viral.
