National Democratic Front (NDF) Consultants Benito and Wilma Tiamson revealed in a forum that allegedly a certain group is planning to oust President Duterte.
According to the couple, even the peace talks with communist rebels are willing to derail by such groups.
Benito Tiamson said that even when not formally sitting President Duterte has representatives that the American government wants to block any influence of leftist groups in the current administration.
Allegedly, senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police are campaigning against the peace talks.
“Because of this situation, we are hopeful yet vigilant for sudden twists that might occur due to intensified friction between the political factions,” Benito added.
Benito and Wilma Tiamson are facing charges of multiple murder and temporarily at large for the resumption of peace negotiations where they are included in the NDF consultants.
