The veteran actor Ricardo Vizcarra Michaca, popularly known as Dick Israel, is one of the notable Filipino character actor who played mostly villain and sidekick roles in practically most of Filipino movies.
Last July 4, a Facebook user posted a photo of Israel and claimed that the veteran actor was victimized by fire. It went viral, garnering thousands of likes and shares, as well as several news outlets.
However, Dick Israel passed away today Tuesday (October 11, 2016) at 8:00pm.
The sad news was relayed by the veteran actress Vivian Velez through her social media account.
In the interview of DZMM, Vivian said that Dick vomitted with blood and expired at their home.
On her Facebook page, Vivian posted the sad news:
“Remembering his wonderful and gentle soul will forever remain in our hearts. A good heart has stopped beating, a good soul ascended to heaven. RIP Dick Israel”
