Mark Laspinas, who won on November 3 and 4 in 'Tawag Ng Tanghalan' on "It's Showtime got injured in a motorcycle accident on Sunday afternoon, November 13.
According to PO3 Aldus Tuante, a traffic investigator, Mark was riding in a motorcycle and was on his way to an outing in Barangay Buruun. But a pick up truck heading back to Iligan veered into his way.
The motorcycle and the unconscious Mark were found lying under the truck. Mark suffered deep laceration on his left thigh and some bruises which may prevent him from re-joining the singing contest soon as a "resbaker."
Mark underwent a surgery Monday morning ang is now recuperating. The pickup truck's driver agreed to shoulder his hospital bills that's why Mark will not be pressing charges against the driver.
However, Mark's family are worry about the medicines and other expenses when he gets out of the hospital. He is raising two kids and he has yet to claim his prize from the singing contest.
