It was announced on Tuesday at a press conference for the Disney animation film in Singapore that Kapamilya atress-singer Janella Salvador has been chosen to sing the theme song of Disney's "Moana" for the upcoming Philippine release of the movie this month.
Janella is set to release her version of the Moana song, "How Far I'll Go." She performed a cover of the song in English along with other Southeast Asian stars like Maudy Ayunda from Indonesia, Ayda Jebat from Malaysia, Myra Maneepat Molloy from Thailand, and Minh Nhu from Vietnam.
During the event, Janella got to meet Auil'i Cravalho, who provides the voice of the lead character.
Alessia Cara also sings the song in the movie's end credits and recently released a music video for her version.
