Aljur Abrenica, a Kapuso star who appeared on the fourth season of StarStruck is a musician at heart.
In an exclusive interview to him, Aljur recalled: "One time kinausap ako ni Ogie Alcasid 'cos he knew that I was playing the guitar.
"Sabi niya, 'Aljur, kapag nagkaroon ng pagkakataon mag-invest ka sa gitara.'
"[Sabi ko], 'Ah talaga, sige anong brand?'"
Aljur purchased one of his two Taylor guitars abroad, in Dubai. He did not hesitate even if it turned out to be expensive. Upon checking the website, the Taylor guitar on the right costs $3,128 or PHP153,617.
This was his Epiphone PRO 1-plus Acoustic guitar.
The exclusive interview gave PEP.ph the chance to tour to Aljur's newly-renovated three-storey house located in Quezon City. He bought this house last 2013.
According to the GMA actor, his favorite spot is the sala. "Ang sala ko kasi, kita mo, friendly siya sa conversation.
"Yung vibe niya maganda, it's entertainment, anytime, you can watch, or if you want to read a book, convenient siya sa lahat."
Kapamilya director Richard Somes designed the interiors. It was inspired by a New-York loft, which was described as "a bit raw and with an open plan" by award-winning interior designer Jason Yung.
"Pinakamalapit kasi siya sa hilig ko, mahilig kasi ako sa mga luma, mahilig ako sa kahoy, vintage.
"Kung makikita niya yung style ng bahay, medyo may pagkasci-fi din siya."
Aljur described his home as "a very laid back."
"Nag-venture talaga ako sa nakaraan. It's a modern classic kind of design."
One of the traditional elements in Aljur's home is the brick wall.
