A young girl named Pichi from Bagac, Bataan was interviewed in the contest by Willie Revillame, a host of Wowowin, a pre-primetime game-variety show broadcasted by GMA Network.
Pitchi showed a medal she brought in the show, a medal she got when she graduated high school.
Pitchi's father is a welder, while her mother was sick. During the interview, Willie got to talk to Pitchi's mother. Willy found out that the young girl's mother was diagnosed to have stage 3 cancer and undergoing therapy sessions.
When asked by Willie what is her message to her daughter, the mother said that she want to thank Pitchi for being responsible and intelligent. She wished for her daughter to achieve all her dreams in life. The mother added that as much as possible she doesn't want her daughter to join contests because she was nervous and hurt when her daughter loses in the contest.
Meanwhile, Pichi's message to her mother is hearbreaking. She thanked her mother for being loving and very supportive to her. For Pitchi, words are not enough to tell her mother how much she loves her especially when her mother got sick, she said that she can't live alone without her mother.
Despite the many challenges in their lives, the two of them will face all the trials and they will be very strong to face all the obstacles in life.
