This is a viral video featuring an alleged deceased woman who appeared to have risen from her grave and able to walk again after 3 years of being dead, as claimed by a netizen who posted the video.
It happened in a community in Indonesia called Toraja. The Torajas are ethnic group of people indigenous to the mountains of South Sulawesi. They are famous for their peculiar funeral rites. These people believe in reincarnation and that dead people can still have a chance to come back to life.
In the video, it can be seen that a woman was dugged from the grave because of a certain Toraja ritual. The ritual goes that the corpse will be dressed nicley and be prayed for but what happened is the corpse suddenly moved and was walking and was looking to the ground. After a few moments of silence that struck the people they immediately took a video and photos of it.
When the videos and photos of the corpse reached the internet, it created a storm of reactions. This made many social media users speculate whether it was true or not. Some believe that it was a case of leprosy mistaken for death by the people of Toraja.
