In a tragic turn of events on December 8, Kokoi Baldo, The Voice Season 2 finalist, and often dubbed as the 'Bob Marley ng Pinas,' lost his life in a vehicular accident. Riding his motorcycle near Purok Active, Circumferential Road, Bacolod City, the reggae artist met an untimely demise when he attempted to pass a truck carrying sugarcane.

According to witnesses and a live report by K5 News FM Bacolod 103.9, the accident occurred around 1 AM. Kokoi's motorcycle reportedly fell while he was overtaking the truck, and he was tragically thrown under its wheels.

Juan Manuel Ubaldo, aged 44 and residing in Country Homes Phase 1, lost his life after attempting to overtake a pickup truck on Circumferential Road around 1:30 AM. The attempt went awry when a truck carrying sugarcane closely followed the pickup. Baldo lost control, leading to a devastating fall beneath the truck's wheels.

The impact resulted in severe injuries, with Baldo's head and brain crushed on the road, leading to his immediate d34th.

In the aftermath, the truck driver reported to Bacolod City Police Station 3, and authorities are now conducting a thorough investigation to ascertain the circumstances of the accident and establish any legal responsibilities.
