In a candid conversation with Vice Ganda on the latest episode of "My SpaghetTEA with Awra," actress Awra Briguela opened up about her journey of self-reflection and growth almost a year after her involvement in an altercation in Poblacion, Makati.

Briguela, known for her roles in FPJ's Ang Probinsyano and as the grand champion of Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids, shared insights into the emotional and personal impact of the incident, highlighting her resilience and determination to learn from her mistakes.

"Nasangkot ka sa isang insidente na pinag-usapan ng buong Pilipinas. Kumusta ka na ngayon?" Vice Ganda asked Briguela.

"I'm okay. I'm getting better, I'm getting stronger... I owned up to my mistakes," Briguela bravely admitted when asked about her current state by Vice Ganda.

Reflecting on the aftermath of the altercation, Briguela acknowledged the difficulty of facing public scrutiny and personal challenges, admitting that she struggled to cope with the gravity of the situation.

"Ako ‘yung taong na hindi kayang magpakita ng weakness ko sa mga taong mahal ko. After what happened, noong nakauwi ako, siyempre umiyak na ako. Hindi ko na talaga kaya," Briguela revealed.

(As someone who doesn't show weakness to my loved ones, I reached a point where I couldn't handle it anymore. I cried, I felt overwhelmed,)

The actress also admitted to using nightlife and escapism as a means to avoid confronting her problems, acknowledging her past behavior and its destructive consequences.

"Noong nangyari ‘yun, hindi ko inexpect kasi YOLO [you only live once] ako n’un. I party almost every day. Sumobra talaga. Super gimikera, I just want to have fun and [kalimutan] ang mga problema. In short, tinatakbuhan ko ang problems ko. Hindi ko siya hinaharap. Noong nangyari siya sa’kin, hindi ako makapaniwala," Briguela shared candidly.

(When it happened, I couldn't believe it. I partied almost every day, wanting to forget my problems. But when it happened to me, I was in disbelief,)

Through her conversation with Vice Ganda, Briguela reaffirmed her commitment to growth and self-improvement, demonstrating resilience and introspection in the face of adversity.

As Briguela continues her journey of self-discovery and redemption, her story serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of accountability, self-reflection, and personal growth in overcoming life's challenges.
