Manny Pacquiao, a boxing icon has found a new apparel deal after Nike cut ties with him earlier this year over comments he made about the same-sex marriage on the campaign trail.
Now, Manny has signed up as endorser of China-based sportswear Anta, making him the latest global ambassador of the popular sports product.
Manny announced the development on Friday on his Instagram account. He posted a photo of him officially joining the Anta family, which also has for endorsers NBA stars Rajon Rondo, Klay Thompson, Chandler Parsons, and fellow boxer, two-time Olympic gold medalist Zou Shiming.
"Thank you ANTA for making me your new global ambassador. #Fighton #ANTA," Manny Pacquiao wrote.
The deal with the Chinese apparel brand came days before the boxing champ made his comeback from retirement and challenges reigning champion Jessie Vargas on November 6, Sunday (Manila time) at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas for the World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight title.
