Is the Orlando Pulse Nightclub Mass Shooting Related To Christina Grimmie’s Shooting?

A man armed with an assault rifle and a pistol killed 50 people and 53 others wounded at a packed gay bar “Pulse Nightclub” in Orlando, Florida USA, on Sunday in the worst shooting incidents in USA.

Police killed the shooter and was identified as Omar Mateen, 29 of St. Lucie County Florida, a U.S. born citizen with Afghan parents. After the shooting incident began, he called 911 to pledge his allegiance to ISIS, according to law enforcement officials.

“We know enough to say that this was an act terror and an act of hate,” President Barack Obama said.

“The FBI is appropriately investigating this as an act of terrorism.”

Meanwhile Orlando Police have confirmed the murder of Christina Grimmie and this morning’s gay bar shooting are unrelated.

On Saturday morning fans of the former Voice contestant were shocked to wake up and hear that singer Christina Grimmie had been shot and killed outside the Plaza Live Theater in Orlando. And on Sunday morning, the country was shocked to wake up and hear that a shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando led to deaths of 50 people and 53 injured. The 2 incidents were 24 hours apart in the same locations, many found themselves wondering whether the Pulse nightclub shooting was related to Grimmie’s shooting.

But, it seems the location is the only thing both tragedies have in common, the worst example of coincidence according to ABC News, officials in Orlando have confirmed that both incidents were isolated cases.
