President Rodrigo Duterte, in his previous interviews said that attendees in the 2016 First State of the Nation Address (SONA) should wear simpler business attire, instead of the usual glamorous dresses they wear in every SONA.
The move is part of the government's efforts to focus more on President Duterte's message to the Filipino people instead of pageantry.
Despite the limitations, the attendees of 2016 SONA held at Batasang Pambansa on Monday, July 25, 2016 still made an effort to look at their best.
