A video posted on Facebook page by GMA reporter Raffy Tima has gone viral gaining more than 2 million views.
The viral video shows a 5-year old boy who was running while crossing the street and suddenly hit by a car.
A woman who was a few meters away from the incident saw what happened and was in shocked. The driver immediately get off his car and checked what happened. He was in shocked and was seen on the video panicking as he took a run for it.
People around the area were gathered. The boy was still unseen and people stopped over to look for the boy's body under the vehicle. Fortunately, the boy was able to survive according to reports.
The video however was flooded with comments defending the driver and claiming that he was not at fault. It was noticeable in the video that the car wasn't that fast. Some netizens are blaming the parents of the boy leaving him unattended.
This incident is a reminder for drivers to be cautious of pedestrians coming out of nowhere or most likely in between parked cars along the sideroad and for pedestrians
to always look both sides before crossing to avoid such accidents that troubles both parties.
