Enrique Gil, a Kapamilya heartrob still perfers to live with his mother and siblings rather than stay in a condo unit all by himself.
His modern-Asian bungalow that sits in a 300-square meter lot, is a property that his mom Barbara bought when she was still working in an airline company in 1985.
According to Mommy Barbara when she told YES!: 'This is more or less what it looked like when we bought it. I just updated the interiors. Early 2000s, I was into the classic look. It was only two years ago when I decided to make the interiors more modern and up-to-date. Slowly lang naman, dahan-dahan.'
This sitting area near the main entrance was a product of Mom Barbara's 'little decorating projects.'
According to her, this mounted on the white wall which consists eight sandstones tiles pieced together as a whole, and framing it are actually old railroad tracks, she got from a supplier.
Mommy Barbara said that most of the pieces in the living room are inexpensive. The gray sectional sofa came from a local department store.
Aside from the sofa, it is furnished with an ottoman, a glass-top coffee table, and the family's animal-hide collection. The huge window provides sufficient amount of natural light.
An accent wall covered with wooden strips is next to the window panel.

The multi-hued backsplash that goes really well with the overhead cabinets is one of the nifty features in Enrique's kitchen. The entire space is illuminated by cove-lighting. Facing the kitchen is a dining table for eight from Classical Geometry.
Covered lanai is adjacent to the kitchen area. It became a storage space whenever Mommy Barbara stows away some things from the living and dining areas.
