Joshua Oliveros of Team Lea is the third grand winner of "The Voice Kids" during the grand finals of the televised talent competition on Sunday. He brought home P2 million and a house and lot. According to Joshua, he intends to save all his prize money for his family. He is happy now that he has the means to help his parents and siblings financially.
"Wala na po [akong ibang naisip nung tinawag 'yung pangalan ko]. Basta masaya lang po ako. Sa sobrang tuwa ko po, napaluhod pa po ako," Joshua said.
Joshua's mother said that she will use the prize money for her children's studies. She also shared that their entire family will soon be moving to Manila to take advantage of the opportunities that might come after Joshua's win.
Mrs. Oliveros was turning emotional as she thanked all those who voted for Joshua, as well as for Lea Salonga, who helped her son achieve this feat.
Joshua got 38.07 % of votes, followed by Antonetthe Tismo of Team Sharon with 36.69% and Justin Alva of Team Bamboo with 25.24%.
