Have you still remember the "Badjao Girl" who has gone viral before because of her natural beauty?
Well, she is Rita Gabiola, 13-years old, from Zamboanga. Her family was living from one place to the other because of poverty until they came to Lucena, Quezon. In this place she was photographed by a certain photographer during the Pahiyas Festival as she was begging in the street with her 2-year old sister.
Her photos has gone viral online because of her natural beauty -- her brown skin, striking jaw line, high cheekbones, soulful eyes and model-like physique and with some comparing her to local actresses.
According to "Badjao Girl" a lot of changes happened to their life after her photos went viral online. "Sobrang naayos po ang buhay namin. Hindi na po kami naghihirap," aniya. "Nakakakain na po kami. Hindi na po kami namamalimos.
Rita did not imagine that because of a simple photo, her fortune will change. Much more, she did not even expect that she will be joining "Pinoy Big Brother" matapos niyang tiyagain ang pila sa audition. "Badjao Girl" she has a dream of becoming an actress.
Another viral sensation ang makakasama ni "Badjao Girl" sa loob ng Bahay ni Kuya. She was the "Yakult Girl," who is Kristine Hammond in real life. She was very studious, fond of sports that's why she was tagged as "one of the boys."
According to "Yakult Girl," 'Parang mas totoo po kasi ang mga lalaki po and may pagka-boyish din po kasi ako,' aniya.
But her "typical" life has change when Kristine became "one of the prettiest" in social media. She said somebody had posted her photo while she was selling 'palamig' in the market in Talisay. For fun lang po 'yung pagtitinda ko tapos 'yung mga customers, nagpa-picture na po sa akin," paliwanag ni Kristine.
Social media had changed and influenced the life of "Badjao Girl" and "Yakult Girl" at young age. Pero mas masusubok ang kanilang tatag at kakayahang makisama sa iba: when they enter Bahay ni Kuya.
