X Factor Hopeful Christian Burrows Performed His Own Song, 'Thunder Buddy' In Memory Of His Dead Brother

X Factor hopeful Christian Burrows blew the judges away when he performed his own song, 'Thunder Buddy,' a song he had written of his brother who died when he was just two years old.

The song began with the heartfelt lyrics, 'I would do anything to be just two-years-old again, Imagine what we could've done what we could've been.'

The tragic loss of his three-months old brother Nathan brought unimaginable heartache his family suffered and why he decided to perform 'Thunder Buddy' in front of the nation.

Christian used the heartache to write the lyrics of 'Thunder Buddy' -- the song that secured him a place at X Factor Boot Camp.

Before performing the song in front of the judges, Christian had only ever sung it twice before; once for his mum and once for his dad.

"When I played it to mum, she started crying," said Christian. When I played it to my dad, he broke down as well."

Christian chose to perform the song after Simon halted his rendition of John Denver's Take Me Home. He burst into tears after the performance and Simon told him: 'Thank you for sharing that with us, Christian.'

Nicole Scherzinger was teary eyed as she was saying, 'Honestly, Christian, on the first song I didn't know if I got you. On that second song, I was right there all the way. You got me, so thank you for that.'

Louis Walsh said: 'Christian, it was a very honest audition.' Sharon commented: 'It was beautiful.'

Simon delivered the final word. He said: 'It was very brave to share that song with us because it was so personal. I don't know how you did that. I think you're great with lyrics, and I like you.'

After receiving the four yeses of the judges, Simon told Christian's parents that they should be proud of.
