After learning that Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio had lost her identical twins days after the deadly blast in Davao City, President Duterte said he cried in private.
President Duterte who arrived at the Davao City airport after his visit to Indonesia and the ASEAN Summit, he became emotional after he was asked about his daughter's condition.
"Maski noong una pa yan it took her a long time to be pregnant and you, know, with the medical intervention," President Duterte said.
"Well somebody called me, i went to the bathroom and...nasa labas kami, nasa lobby kami. I cried, I cried." These are the things in life na... You just have to be yourself," he emotionally added.
Earlier, Mayor Sara Duterte announced that she lost two of the triplets that came only a few weeks after she announced her pregnancy.
She said the two fetuses will not be extracted from her womb yet because this might affect the surviving baby.
