Being Single Is Now A Disability. Some People Aren't Happy With The Classification. Find Out Why

Those who are single or without an intimate partner will now be classified as "infertile," at least when it comes to medical procedures, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). This is not meant to insult single people but it is merely for purposes of priority for "In Vitro Fertilization."

This classification will allow single people, LGBT men and women (single or not) to receive the same priority as couples which will lead to that those who don't have a partner can now also be given funds IVF.

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is a medical procedure that can allow those with difficulty conceiving to have a child.

Some people aren't happy with the new classification for single people out there. According to Josephine Quintavalle, a pro-life activist and director of Comment on Reproductive Ethics:  “This absurd nonsense is not re-defining infertility but completely side-lining the biological process and significance of natural intercourse between a man and a woman."

But WHO's Dr. David Adamson defended that it seals any individual's right to reproduce whether or not they have a partner, particularly for those in countries where the government provides healthcare and public funding for IVF procedures. WHO is yet to finalize these terms and people all over can't help but speculate how countries would react.
