Marian Labanon, the young vegetable vendor from Olongapo City was spotted selling vegetables along the streets and was photographed and later on went viral on Facebook.
She was known among netizens as 'gulay girl' and was recently given a makeover and wow! she looks like Liza Soberano.
Marian was featured on Rated K recently, a show hosted by Korina Sanchez. Korina visited Marian's home in Olongapo. She was found on a remote area where she lived atop a mountain on a small, tattered nipa hut. She lived together with her parents, and was the eldest among 6 children.
Marian's father crosses the rivers to fetch gabi leaves and grows sweet potatoes on their yard for them to sell for a living. Marian, sometimes with her younger sibling or her mother, would go down the mountain and into the town to vend their crops.
When asked what she wanted to be when she grows up, Marian answered that she wanted to be a star, a chef and a makeup artist. She wants to join showbusiness to help her family.
According to 'gulay girl': “Gusto ko pong magpasaya ng mga tao at gusto ko ring ipakita ‘yung talent ko. Gusto ko rin pong makatulong sa pamilya ko.”
Aside from school supplies, seeds and other items, "Rated K" also provided Marian with an extreme make over inspired by Liza Soberano's look.
