Passenger Vessel Going To Taiwan Sinks Off Batanes; Two Crew Members Still Missing

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)  spokesman Armand Balilo reported on Tuesday, November 29 that a passenger vessel going to Taiwan sank in waters off in Batanes, leaving two crew members still missing. No other casualties have been reported.

Balilo said the MV Kansam Express with seven crew members sank in waters near the Itbayat Island before a passing vessel, the MV Ingric C came to their rescue. 

The PCG has sent a rescue team and has also requested the Armed Forces to send a helicopter for the search and rescue mission. Authorities have alerted the Taiwan Coast Guard about the incident.
