Meteor Garden is a 2001 Taiwanese drama starring Barbi Hsu, Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Vaness Wu and Ken Chu. It is based on Japanese shojo manga series, Boys Over Flowers, written by Yoko Kamio.
It is about a bubbly girl called Shan Cai who led to her knowing the F4: Dao Ming Si, Hua Ze Lei, Xi Men and Mei Zuo. It was to Lei who Shan Cai fell in love first but as the story progresses, Dao Ming Si have captured her heart.
Meteor garden is not only a smash hit in Taiwan, but became one of the more popular dramas ever in Hongkong and the Philippines.
Barbie Hsu, the star who played Shan Cai is now 39 years old. She is happily married to an entrepreneur. They have two kids. Barbie's career life is still booming. She was a member of the girl group S.O.S. She has a lot of modelling and endorsements with famous wristwatch brand. Barbie has many TV series afterwards and quite active with movies.
Ken Chu, who plays the role of Xi Men has led a successful solo career life in the music industry. He pursued a career in acting and singing after having discovered as a waiter on a restaurant. Ken launched a cook book entitled "Delicious Experiences." He tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend on a romantic wedding in Vietnam.
Vic Zhou, a sympathico guy of F4 and the silent-type among the group, Hua Ze Lei, has been busy making films and TV series after Meteor Garden. Vic dated Barbie Hsu way back but their relationship ended after two years of being together. Vic is now married to his longtime girlfriend. He is still continuing his career in showbusiness.
Vaness Wu, the girl-magnet Mei Zuo of F4, started performing career in singing and dancing after Meteor garden days. He is now a co-judge in America's Got Talent along with other Hollywood celebrities. Vaness is married to his girlfriend who is a daughter of rich businessman from Vietnam.
Jerry Yan, who play the role of Dao Ming Si, a major hearthrob among the F4 has not yet tied the knot with anyone. Rumors say that Jerry is soon to walk down the aisle with the girl he's currently dating now, a model. Jerry has been active in making TV series. His last series was from 2015.
