Comedian and TV host Vice Ganda captivated audiences on the noontime show "It's Showtime" after offering to sponsor a contestant's education during the segment "EXpecially for You."
During the segment, they discussed the significance of education in one's life. The contestant, Nami, expressed her strong desire to pursue studies but faced financial constraints, prompting her to take chances in Manila.
Vice inquired about her educational background, to which Nami responded that she graduated from Senior High School.
“Paano kung pagtapusin kita ng pag-aaral?” the comedian proposed.
The audience applauded Vice's gesture, and Nami was moved to tears.
Vice emphasized the importance of education, particularly since he himself did not finish college. He highlighted the value of completing one's education, despite his own unfinished journey.
“Kasi we’re talking about education kanina pa, pinu-push natin yung isang kabataan dito na magtapos ng kanyang pag-aaral. Kasi ganon siya kahalaga. Lalong lalo na para sa atin, para sa akin na ako mismo hindi nakapagtapos. Pero ako mismo feeling ko ang laking bagay kung nakapagtapos pa ako,” Vice expressed.
“Kung ikaw ay bibigyan ng pribilehiyo na makapag-aral, kukunin mo ba ang pribilehiyong ito?” Vice asked Nami.
“Oo naman po,” Nami replied.
"So I will send you to school," the comedian affirmed.
Vice also revealed that he had sponsored another individual's education through the show, who is set to graduate in March.
