R&B singer Kyla bravely opened up about her recent struggle, disclosing her fifth miscarriage, which occurred just before Christmas last year. In a candid interview on "Magandang Buhay," she, accompanied by her husband Rich Alvarez, revealed the challenges they've faced trying to conceive another child.

The couple has been grappling with this ordeal for years, enduring multiple losses, including two miscarriages in 2018, one in July 2021, and another in 2022.
"It’s been really hard, especially very recent lang ‘yung sa amin eh. Just before Christmas actually I suffered another one," she said. “‘Yun ‘yung biggest challenge.”
Expressing her gratitude amidst the pain, Kyla emphasized the blessing of having their son Toby, born in 2013. She tearfully acknowledged the difficulty of not being able to give Toby a sibling but conveyed her immense love and appreciation for him.
"But I am also very grateful and thankful kasi at least nabigyan kami ng isa at kung madadagdagan pa, bonus na lang 'yon. Kaya siguro siya rin ang ibinigay sa akin ni Lord -- si Rich -- kasi I don't think anyone would love me like the way he loves me or ever will love me. Parang feeling ko mahirap kasi akong mahalin. Siya lang talaga yung magmamahal sa akin ng ganito. So I am just really thankful," Kyla added.
Kyla's emotional revelation resonated deeply as she apologized to Toby, cherishing him as their greatest gift. Despite their profound loss, she remains thankful for the love and support of her husband, recognizing him as a special blessing in her life.
In an Instagram post from December, Kyla reflected on her struggles, expressing moments of misery but ultimately choosing to focus on gratitude. Through her poignant story, Kyla highlights the strength found in gratitude and the enduring love within her family, despite the challenges they face.
