Former Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) star Marc Pingris has recently taken to social media to debunk rumors suggesting a romantic involvement with ABS-CBN actress Kim Rodriguez. The speculation surfaced after images of the two circulating together emerged on various social media platforms.

Pingris, who is happily married to actress and host Danica Sotto, vehemently denied any romantic connection with Rodriguez. In a statement posted in Filipino on his social media accounts, Pingris clarified the situation, asserting, "There is no truth to the news about me and Ms. Kim Rodriguez. There is nothing going on between us contrary to what people are talking about."

The renowned basketball figure, known for his contributions to the PBA and Gilas Pilipinas, shed light on the circumstances surrounding his encounters with Rodriguez. He mentioned encountering her twice, once at a basketball event and another occasion when she served as a muse for his team.

Pingris expressed gratitude to those who raised concerns about the rumors, emphasizing that his family is intact and doing well. "Salamat din sa nagpa-abot ng concern. Ok kami ng pamilya ko," he affirmed.

Furthermore, Pingris appealed to the public to refrain from spreading baseless rumors, urging respect for his family's privacy and, particularly, to shield his children from any undue consequences. "Wag na po tayong magpakalat ng mga balita na hindi totoo. Humihingi po kami ng respeto at para hindi madamay ang mga anak namin ni Danica. Salamat po at God bless," he added.
