Jam Ignacio Apologizes to Fiancée Jellie Aw Following Assault Allegations

 

Businessman Jam Ignacio has publicly apologized to his fiancée, vlogger and disc jockey Jellie Aw, after she accused him of physical assault. The controversy erupted when Jellie shared photos on social media showing her bloodied and bruised face, directly pointing to Ignacio as the one responsible for the injuries.

Ignacio Seeks Forgiveness

In an exclusive interview with GMA News' "24 Oras," Ignacio admitted his mistake and expressed deep remorse for what happened. He also apologized to Jellie's loved ones, particularly her mother.

"Sa mga kapatid, sa mga kaibigan, dito ako haharap sa inyo. Humaharap na humihingi ng taos-puso na sorry. Sorry, sobrang sorry, lalo na sa mommy ni Jellie. Ma, sorry, ma. Alam niyo 'yan na mahal na mahal ko si Jellie," Ignacio stated.

He explained that the incident stemmed from a misunderstanding and admitted that fatigue may have played a role in the situation. However, he took full responsibility for his actions, acknowledging that what happened was wrong and promising that it would never happen again.

"Sa simpleng hindi pagkakaunawaan, siguro may halo na rin sigurong pagod sa maghapon na lakad namin. Kumbaga, tao lang din siguro ako, kumbaga baka napuno lang din siguro ako na hindi ko sinasabi na tama pero hindi ko para i-tolerate na gawin ulit. Humihingi ako ng tawad. Pasensya na talaga," he added.

Addressing Jellie directly, Ignacio expressed his hope to mend their relationship in private and continue building their future together.

"Pinapangako ko sa 'yo na hindi na mauulit 'to and then sana bigyan mo ng pagkakataon na ayusin natin 'tong pareho nang pribado na sa 'ting dalawa. Alam ko naman na alam mo din na mahal natin ang isa't isa. Madami tayong gustong gawin at pangarap na sana maayos natin at matupad natin," he said.

"Alam mo na gusto ko ikaw na 'yung makasama ko talaga. Alam mo' yan na may plano tayo bumuo ng pamilya. Tuparin natin, hon. Nagmamakaawa ako sa 'yo, sana ayusin natin 'to," he added.

Following the viral social media post, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) confirmed that they have issued a subpoena against Ignacio regarding the allegations. Reports state that Jellie Aw officially filed a complaint before the NBI on February 13, detailing the alleged abuse that took place on February 12 while they were traveling on the expressway. According to Aw, Ignacio pulled her hair while driving and later punched her, causing a blood clot in her eye, a chipped tooth, and a bruised upper lip.

Jellie has publicly stated that while she is willing to forgive Ignacio, she still believes he must be held accountable for his actions.
