On Thursday's episode of the "Pinoy Big Brother" (PBB) reality show, Maymay was informed that her grandfather had passed away on August 30. Maymay could not help but break down in tears after learning that her grandfather passed away in sleep while she was inside the PBB house.
According to MayMay, she joined PBB Lucky Season 7 because she wanted to help her 70-year-old grandfather. She said that she treated her grandpa "Papa Joe" as her father because she grew up without her real dad. Her mother works in Japan.
The teen housemate plans to continue her PBB stint despite her grandfather's death. "Ayaw ko pong ma-miss yong oportunidad na binigay niyo sa akin. Sayang lang kasi," she said.
Meanwhile, Big Brother had allowed Maymay to go outside the PBB house to be reunited with her family in this saddest time of her life.
Maymay admitted that she auditioned for "PBB" with the hope that it could help pay for her grandfather's medical bills.
"Gusto ko siya mabilhan ng gamot. Huli na ako, Kuya. Hindi ko na siya natulungan," said Entrata, who was inconsolable as she was seen wailing alone inside one of the house's bathrooms.
