On Thursday night, the fifth season of "The Amazing Race Asia" revealed its winning pair -- Filipino beauty queens Maggie Wilson-Consunji and Parul Shah.
After travelling to 6 countries, 12 cities and racing over 12,000 kilometers, the two beauty queens beat two other teams: the tandem of Malaysian beauty queens Chloe Chen and Lee Yvonne, who were second, and Eric Tai, Philippine TV personality and his wife Rona who ended in third place.
"We did it! We did it," Wilson looked at Shah after they were announced winners.
"It feels amazing. It's like we can relax now. We are just so, so happy we can help Parul's family now with our winnings," Wilson said as she wiped away tears of joy from her teammate's face.
Wilson and Shah nabbed the the $100,000 (nearly P5 million) cash prize. They said they are splitting the prize money. Shah will use her share to help her father's treatment who had a stroke and help his retirement.
"My dad just had a stroke. He had a couple of strokes and apparently, while on the race he had another one," Shah said.
