Juan Miguel "Mikey" Arroyo, former Pampanga representative and son of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and first gentleman Mike Arroyo was brought to St. Lukes Medical Center in Quezon City on Monday, January 23 after he got injured in a car accident in Bacolor, Pampanga.
A honda Civic being driven by a policeman collided with a Toyota Hilux carrying Mikey Arroyo. The policeman died on the spot. Rescuers had difficulty in saving the police officer who was trapped inside his Honda Civic.
Mikey and his companion were injured in the accident and were rushed to the Mother of Calcutta Hospital before they were transfered to St. Lukes.
Former first gentleman Mike Arroyo was at St. Lukes to accompany his son. He said in a text message that his son was in the passenger's seat when the car accident happened.
Mikey went through a series of medical tests, including a CT scan and x-ray.
