Miss France Iris Mittenaere was crowned as the Miss Universe 2015. Her winning answer during the final Q&A gave her the much-coveted crown during the 65th Miss Universe Grand Coronation event on January 30, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Rumors about Mittenaere being lesbian is circulating on social media. The Latin times and Hay Nicaragua, Nicaraguita Facebook page both broke the news. In a report, Mitennaere could already be making a huge impact for becoming the first ever openly gay beauty queen.

Though the issue has not been confirmed neither denied, fans found "sweet" photos on Mittenaere's Instagram with fellow beauty queen winner Camille Cerf. 

Upon seeing their friendly photos together, people started to come up with speculations.
